Available from days of PCs running on floppy disks are startup disks created on floppy disk. Now, floppy disks are useless of in PC community. It is just as significant these days to have startup disk for PC if hard disk crash. You can convert floppy startup disks to CD quickly.

Instructions

Step 1

Any CD Burning software present to burn CD bootable disk from boot image of a floppy. Download it.

Step 2

Install it and start. Choose option that permits to burn CD from boot image. In Nero 7 this is in CD-ROM burning element of program, as in Ashampoo Burning Studio it is in "Expert Functions" area below "Create a Data CD Using 'Advanced Settings.'"

Step 3

Choose CD-ROM (boot) option in Nero, or in Ashampoo check the box that makes disk bootable. Give drive A as source of bootable image and use 1.44 MB floppy emulation.

Step 4

Go to Nero Express after settings are made. In Ashampoo, give disk image and go to page that permits to show which files you want to insert to image. It is good idea to add new version of what virus software you prefer to utilize with its current virus file. After boot with new CD, you want to scan PC for presence of viruses.

Step 5

Go to burn process and make bootable CD. Try out new CD by booting from CD you made to ensure it works.
