If you want to install Windows on PC using CD, you want to make few settings in BIOS. In BIOS, there are settings that decide what drive to boot from. After you have made this change, it must not be problem installing from CD.
Instructions
Step 1
Enter BIOS settings and ensure that PC is set to boot from CD drive first and then from C drive. These setting looks first at CD drive for bootable disk, and then if it does not get one, it will move on to local hard disk to boot from.
Step 2
Put Windows installation CD in CD drive and reboot PC. If installation is just an upgrade, start install process from existing Windows program. Ensure you backed up all data. Backup any installation files that you have for other software that bought online.
Step 3
Follow installation procedure of new Windows install program. During installation procedure, PC will restart two or three times. After new version of Windows installation completes, you want to reinstall programs to add them in new version of Windows registry.
