Nowadays all PCs have CD and DVD drives already installed on it. CD drives are able to play and burn music CDs, installation CDs and data disk. There are many problems you face with CD drive but they can be easily resolved.

Instructions

• Begin by solving problems many times the problem is not with CD drive but with CDs so ensure that only CD put in drive not DVD and that is not scratched. Attempt by putting in other CD to decide problem is with CD or drive. If this CD plays without any difficulty then problem must be with first CD not with drive.

• Check cables which are connected to CD drive to PC and ensure that they are firmly attached and now try the drive.

• Play CD simply from CD drive icon from PC. Many CDs play automatically through auto play but if there is problem then play CD by clicking CD drive icon.

• Ensure that driver is working appropriately. If driver is damaged or removed then it won’t work proper in PC. TO check driver status open explorer of computer and see if there is exclamation mark beside it in list. If yes then you require installing driver again.

• Give drive to specialized repair shop or install new drive if hardware having problems, like opening and closing drive properly.
