Ok, from what I can collect you have an "endorse only" copy of windows XP.
Do you have a CD of window 98/ME/2k to hand, as the setup will permit you to use those CD's as proof of an upgrade.
XP isn't gonna run fine among presently 384MB.
If you have the XP upgrade CD, you will also need a Windows CD that qualify for the upgrade. As Thomas ad said, you will need a copy of Windows 98/ME/2K. What you'll need to do is institution the XP structure using the upgrade CD & at some point along the way, it will ask for proof of control of a previous window version. At that point, eject the XP CD & insert the qualifying CD - XP setup will then verify that you qualify for the upgrade. Once you get the OK, just eject that CD, replace it with the XP CD & the fitting will continue.
