Recently I bought new gateway desktop and installed Windows 7 on it. But now problem is DVD drive is not identified my desktop. So please help me to solve this problem. Your help is highly appreciated.
First ensure that DVD drive is attached properly or not to motherboard of PC. If it is not attached properly then connect it appropriate. Then check whether gateway desktop identified it or not.
If DVD drive is not detected then check it in device manager. If DVD drives shown there then reattach DVD drive on motherboard of PC. This solves your problem.
If DVD drive is detected by gateway desktop earlier then you must perform system restore. Restoring system on earlier date and time will solve your problem.
If system restore doesn’t solve problem then check DVD drive with other system to ensure that DVD drive is working appropriately or not. If working in other system then problem with the SATA cable which is utilized for attaching DVD drive with motherboard. Thus use other SATA cable to connect drive with system.
