I updated my XP PC using the available updates, and then started having problems. PCs repeatedly reboot. So I tried everything as the XP recovery CD, etc. A couple of hours I clench and I thought I had to reformat which threatens to do for some time. In short summary, reinstalling does not work, or redevelopment. Disc XP Home which is the original (2002) Retail CD gets as far as the last 1 minute (while the temporary files are removed bits) and that it was hours later, another 1 minute to complete.
PC was one of 2 sides of one of the retail outlets a few years ago, so I have no idea which is actually on the XP disk.
If you are having any suggestions then reply me. It can helpful to me.

You have gone into the BIOS and looked at your boot order and HDD. You mentioned you re-planning, you, and if so, what part did you active? I hope it was a "C". What happens if you shut down your system and only a reboot? CMOS Batteries only clear the BIOS settings to default settings. When you install XP if your system shutdowns and restart & OK?
