If your disk drive is not listed on the setup screen, this means Windows Vista setup does not have the needed driver to access it. This is commonly the case with serial SATA hard disks and RAID controllers. You will require transferring the drivers that you want to access your HDD onto a floppy disk, CD-ROM, or USB thumb drive. After that, from the Windows Vista setup screen that asks which disk drive you want to install to, click on Load Drivers button.
