Thread: Can I Fix A CD Drive

I owe 2 CD drives that I desire to try and fix.

1. The first one has a screw or somewhat loose and rattles like mad.

2. The second one, will not expel when either pressed on eject button or pressing eject in XP

The 1st drive I have disassembled but cannot get into plastic casing, clatter stays within this plastic casing , anyone identify how to open this ,will be deeply valued. The 2nd drive I have not disassembled yet and think there may be a cd inside it jamming it closed, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
As well I was speculating what small hole is for under the tray?

Small hole is for a paper clip or same tool that would fit in hole to shove the device open so you can get rid of the stuck CD.
