    Default CD-ROM problem

my IDE DVD-ROM Plextor is a bit square at the moment. I have an original! Audio CD in the drive. I play off it goes well. If the CD over and is not a short time afterward, then jumps Media Player with all the songs and they all provide you with an exclamation mark to be unreadable. When you open the drawer and moves them back in, am back properly.

And now the kicker: If the CD at boot time indoors, it appears the drive is not at work at times - is not logical to play as possible.

    Someone got an idea?

The lens may have shifted over time. Perhaps it is now just a limit to correct the drive where the error can not, and so the error is a little hard to understand?
Can eject the CD while the system is then when the computer is started?

For hard drives, it is in front of an electronic defect often so that the detection at boot time errors, then errors again, before the electronic system is very defective.

Is clear from the look, I've experienced with my old DVD-LW on, first it was original CD only sporadically read all other media still functioned.

When burning, he has transformed every other CD / DVD in garbage.
After that, he also had problems with CD-R and read original DVD and is then adjusted the service completely.
