Hi all, I am having Samsung DVD RW Drive SH-S222A model. The problem is it just recognizes placing inserting into the drive. Just sound and finally no LED glows and silence after that. Attempted with different CD/VCD. Please help!!!!!

How old is it i guess you will have to get a new one.

Try using a lens cleaner cd to fix in the problem.

If it is native one then it times to get a new one. Cleaning might help you not long way. Just do this opening the drive and add two three drops of oil over the rods. As times goes on friction between the rod and lens mechanism increases.
