Mutually NAS servers have four hard drive bays that can fit mutually 3.5-inch as well as 2.5-inch hard drives. These hot-swappable bays are capable of up to 8TB total capability by means of 2TB drives.
Both TS-439U-RP as well as TS-439U-SP are power-driven by Intel’s Atom 1.6GHz processor, 1GB RAM as well as features up to 87.3MB/sec transfer rate with support for RAID 0/1/5/6/5+ spare, JBOD, Online RAID Capacity Expansion, with Online RAID Level Migration. They have integrated iSCSI target feature providing a reasonable IP-SAN (Storage Area Network) option for business as well as consist of AES 256-bit Volume-based Encryption for data protection.
The major variation among the two servers is the RP model includes an unneeded power supply that will mechanically boot in if the other stops working while the SP model includes a sole power supply. They will be accessible in August 2009.
