A new gaming mouse is always refreshing and a ew one from CM, rare. The Sentinel Advance has surely got the looks. The faux rubberised finish ensures a proper grip while the mouse is nicely contoured but not ambidextrous. The twin laser sensors feature a sensitivity of 5600 dpi and the mouse also has an OLED display, a first, and a large number of programmable buttons with support for configuring macro keys built into the software. There are also five weights of 4.5 grams each to configure the feel and drag of the mouse to suit individual tastes. Sans weights, it feels lighter than a Logitech MX518 by a fair margin.
DPI switching in the form of two adjacent buttons is possible - a must for such a high-sensitivity mouse but because of the Teflon feet being 'vertically arranged the mouse slides easier when making vertical actions, while there is a slight (but noticeable) amount of drag (not lag!) when moving it horizontally - due to the surface area of the feet. Other than this, tracking is spot on and accurate. There is 64 KB of inbuilt memory for user based profiles and macros scripts. There are LEDs inbuilt, that can be configured in 5 shades and the OLED display can be configured to display your gamer handle or clan name neat addons that provide some much needed customisation options for hungry gamel's.

At a price of Rs. 4,900 this mouse is definitely a decent deal, although it faces competition from the likes of Logitech's G9x and Microsoft's Sidewinder. We feel CM did a good job with the comfort - this one is better contoured than the competition, at least to our hands. Hardcore FPS gamer's - you have something worth owing.
