The new combo from Zebronics is quite a mixed bag; it manages to impresses and disappoint at the same time. Looking at the package, one might guess that this combo is targeted at gamers or performance enthusiasts. What you get in the box are the wireless keyboard and mouse, a USB receiver cum mouse dock, four batteries and a software CD.
The keyboard has a neat look and finish; it's very slim and light with a matte finish. On the left side are the internet hotkeys and on the right, the multimedia hotkeys with a nice little dial for volume control. As good as it looks though, this keyboard loses out on one main aspect-typing ergonomics. One might feel the keys are very comfortable to touch, but in order to get something typed on the screen you need to whack at them quite hard. There aren't any LED status indicators on the keyboard, so the Lock key statuses are displayed in the Windows taskbar only after you install the bundled software, which is a terrible solution and wastes system resources.
The mouse is good in design and performance. It's the right weight for gaming and regular use. With very good sensitivity and comfortable design, using it was a pleasure. The mouse dock looks good on a desk and can be used to recharge the batteries in the mouse as well as keyboard.
