Razer is the one behind the very fancy looking Belkin n52te gaming controller. The design is simple - a set of keys in front of an anti-bacterial palmrest. It comes with a D-pad like on other game controllers. The console is comfortable but the spacebar key is positioned at the extreme right and reaching it with ones thumb is a bit of a problem; which is a pain while playing intensive FPS games such as Counter-Strike, Quake 3, etc. The D-pad makes for an interesting utility especially in RTS games where you need to pan the scene around. The drivers allow a good level of customisation and keys can be mapped as well as assigned macro functions. There's even the polling rate setting like on a high-performance gaming mouse. If done right, this is something that can be used for browsing or controlling a media centre software.

The Belkin n52te makes good sense for a gaming enthusiast. However it is a little too pricey when most full-fledged gaming keyboards with customisable keys can be bought a similar amount. This controller is unique, however, and is definitely going to grab people's attention at a LAN party.
