Thread: Unable to show Login Password Box

I have not large password punctual box displayed @ login then to User Icon. I can click user name and it pops up and I can enter it and login, but it isn't technique it was prior to doing updates, etc. Has anybody else had this eccentric behavior and if so, is there glue to get it back to default behavior because I can't discover something on web addressing this odd behavior on new install with full updates? Please help me to solve this problem.

Yes, updating to SP3 alters few of default setting. Restoring would defeat reason of updating our computers to remain them more protected. If referring to log on password box with domain credentials or local, it can be reconfigured in Local Security Policy then Local Policies then go Security Options then under interactive.
