Struts have a number of advantages but also have some disadvantages. A strut is not easy to learn and is for large project only. A strut is not for small project .As Struts require more learning any developer cannot work on struts directly. Before work on struts developers should have knowledge of Core Java, JSP, Servlets, HTML, Custom JSP Tags, Tags library and also Struts require more clear knowledge of Struts frameworks also like is follow, working of different Action classes, way of configuring XML file and plug-in etc .That mean any developer have to require expertise before work on Struts application .It will take time and cost also, Not More Documentation.

Only Apache has offers some help which is not enough and has note cover ups enough examples. So developer requires more works on study. In a Struts applications there is a so a lot of things are going on behind the scenes than with normal Java-based Web applications. As a result, Struts applications are: not easy to know and not easy to l optimize.
