Flashing HP board with Tyan Bios?

Hello All,
I am at present construction a dual AMD Opteron (skt 940) system with an HP XW9300 Motherboard. This motherboard is really the Tyan K8WE S2895 motherboard, deficiency the 2nd Ethernet port and a little other slight dissimilarity such as enthused front panel headers and HP Branded BIOS.

I abhorrence to speak this, but I'd say irregular it with a dissimilar BIOS when HP have screwed with the present is most likely a bad idea. You can't be certain what else they've distorted.
It noise like they've write-protected the BIOS to discontinue you take away their posses.
