Thread: Laptop monitor VERY dark - can't see

Toshiba Satellite had a bad CD-rom and I installed a novel one. I must have missed up something with the monitor when I did because now the monitor is so dark you can hardly see anything. Attach to desktop screen and it works fine, but laptop monitor stays dark. Any ideas on what do I do???

You had by chance hit the difference or brightness slider...if you don't identify where it is, check with your owner’s handbook.
