Default Unable to connect any USB Device

I connected my pen drive a couple of hours before and after a while; it got unplugged pen drive. I tried to connect it again, but it just won't connect. Even the light on the pen drive does not blink.

I go to device manager and found four devices in Universal Serial Bus Controllers with yellow colored exclamation mark icons and when I went in their properties, I found the error.

you had used the right click on universal serial bus controllers to uninstall option I can say that wouldn't be any help since the problem looks to be Windows related.

You wouldn't see the exact similar items but should see some familiar ones presently the same.you have to run the system file checker with the windows XP in the drive if you have the new or a further to allow any alternate files needed to be expanded from the I386 folder typical with XP complete install.

The scan now command is entered at the Run command line to start up the system efficacy which will then confirm all the main system files and change any found missing which would include the usb drivers included with operating system.

Before the final option if that fails to correct the problem Microsoft released a separate update for usb 1.1/2.0 controllers back in 2003 require SP1. Most systems already observe SP2 on with most now considering the last SP3.

The final option generally the most raw is performing a repair install of Windows in order to insure all the default drivers are on

That wouldn't solve the problem but insure there are no other problems being seen in Windows. Now you are down to Looking the right drivers needed. Have you tried allowing Windows to perform a search by right clicking on the marked items?

If you performed a repair install and are still having the similar problem you may have a board mistake or only one or more bad usb ports on the board itself provided you reinstalled or updated the board drivers by the software or recovery disk.

This problem arises if you install a driver for a non-Plug and Play device, but Windows cannot find the device. At this time some things that you can try to resolve this problem.

If the device was disconnect, uninstall the driver, connect the device, and then click Scan for hardware changes to reinstall the driver. If the device was not removed, the driver files may be obsolete. In this case, update the driver from Device Manager. In the device Properties dialog box, click the Driver tab, and then click Update Driver to run the Hardware Update Wizard.

If the device is a non-Plug and Play device, you may have to install a latest version of the driver. To install non-Plug and Play devices, use the Add Hardware wizard. Click Start then click Run. And type hdwwiz.cpl.

It is not any hardware problem because I have dual boot system on my computer and my pen drives work entirely on ubuntu operating system. I already tried uninstalling the drivers and scanning for change option but it not work And I also tried windows repair as it says in that link. It didn't work either.

Is it possible that some bad registry is causing this, or maybe some virus?

If you tried the repair install next SP3 going on that would automatically be part of the trouble right there because you are using an SP2 disk with SP3 previously installed. That spells a problem correct away why you wouldn't get where due to that.
