Default Getting stop error on startup in normal mode

I am using Windows XP operating system with 2GB RAM and Core2Duo processor, I have one issue when I boot my PC i get a STOP 0x0000007e, if i startup in safe mode, it starts up just fine. I tried doing a windows repair, also started in recovery mode with the XP cd, and i get similar kind of error. If you have any in solution please let me know that. Thanks in advanced.

The fact that in safe mode works might mean that is the video driver, try to remove it and set a standard VGA one, and if it works you find out what causes the problem in an experiential way. As it is a system is not simple to remove physically the devices so you will have to work from the bios and software control panel in safe mode. You can also try and go for a bios update, but be cautious doing this you might cause problems to your system.
