Thread: Recover deleted image

For the past some days I have been trying to acquire some photos from my notebook that I unintentionally deleted a couple of months ago. I have been using my new machine so the Toshiba has been inactive for awhile very little activity, updates installed, etc. I have tried various free programs and guidance but nothing has worked.

Has anyone got a step-by-step program that works? The story is...I was consolidating some photo files on Windows Photo Gallery and 1/2 the folders went OK but the other 1/2 get deleted from my Recycle bin and I also managed to delete the entire Recently Changed folder but now it is back, minus the pictures.

Deleted from the recycle bin isn't extremely hopeful yet with the number of data recovery programs available. Undelete, Recuva, and some freeware as well as sell programs. If the photos were not at all backed up away the likely chance of recovery even with a professional service is pretty much null after this amount of time.

When a file is deleted from your computer(Shift+del or deleted from recycle bin), its contents aren't immediately destroyed. Windows simply marks the hard drive space as being available for use by changing one character in the file table. If you manage to start an undelete process before Windows overwrites that part of hard disk with new files. You can set that flag back to "on" and get your file. U can still recover those files using Data Recovery Software such as RecoverFix for Windows or Kernel for FAT and NTFS
