    Default File missing or corrupt

I have a custom make computer, running windows vista business. When I attend boot, I find the error that windows cannot boot because of the ntoskrnl.exe file being missing or corrupt. I can fix the problem by putting the OS. Disk in and restore to a previous restore point, just for it to happen again each time I restart my PC. This recurring problem is very frustrating and is wondering if anybody has any ideas?

Download the file from someone for that correct OS; Put it on a Cd or an usb Pen drive. When you boot from the OS boot Disc and you click Repair My computer on the Windows Vista setup screen click the hard disk that you need fixing on and click next, then when you get to the "System Recovery Options" Window click on command prompt, and confirm you put the USB Pen drive Or the cd in a drive you know the letter to. Now with command prompt it will say X: Sources or something like that just type "X:”

Have you tried the startup repair tool incorporated on the Vista DVD’s repair tools section? That's an automatic repair tool that will rewrite boot whole and recopy any boot files essential when Windows fails to load at startup.
