Thread: Sharing problem

I try to set up on a home network with three systems running from an 8 port hub and Windows 7 ultimate on all three systems. Main systems got partitions split up in relevant parts. Movies, Games, Music etc. All the drives are shared and rise, but the music partition is visible but u can’t access the music files. You can see the folders but not the files. Even recently added files that were visible on other drives and after that moved to the music one are inaccessible later. I’ve tried tacking off sharing; changing the security and re-installed windows a lot of times but am not able resolve this issue.

Windows XP and Vista powerless to identify the new Windows 7 home group type network, if that's any help. You'll have to build and join a workgroup in 7 by going into the system summing up and under PC name, domain, and workgroup click Change settings. Click Change in the windows that shows. Now, in the workgroup box type the name of the workgroup that the difficult PCs are in and click OK. Windows will kindly welcome you to the new workgroup, and you will have to reboot your computer.
