since booting up my system, windows explorer is inclined to hang up if I right click on folders, the recycle bin, etc. This only finds when the system is start booted up. After explorer "hangs", Windows 7 restarts explorer and all works fine.

you can attempt right off with any new install of Windows having problems is to run the system file checker tool seen in Windows since 98 if you have the upgrade or total edition disk on hand and in the optical drive. formerly you type the scan now command in at the Run command line there the tool will confirm the main system files and normally change any detected missing.
Other then a some small things a reboot takes care of windows 7 has been less problem some then any preceding version. And this is from testing the betas all the way through the RC to the retail windows 7. I would try the scan now and look over what you have installed driver as well as program wise to see if you can get any problem with a programs or version of drivers. While generally this looks to be a minor annoying not only seen in widows 7 .
