In Photoshop C55, the new palette catches your eye first. It is called "Mini Bridge" and enables photo management and creating slideshows directly from the Photoshop. 50, one does not need to switch to Bridge. This starts automatically in the background, as soon as the user opens the "Mini Bridge" palette. Photoshop already did a great job of covering blotches without a trace of ugly contours. The blotch had to be in a rather homogenous surrounding. This restriction is now no more: Photoshop does an unbelievable job of even touching up details that are in the background of distinctive objects or at the absolute border of the photo. Complex distortions are also easier: the user has to click several points in the active layer and then turn individual layer areas around the axis. An arm can thus be angled in different directions and the results are absolutely realistic.

Adobe has also improved the quality of brush tool. Here, you can now not only adjust the form and size of the brush tip, but also the bristles. The user can explicitly control the number, length. hardness and angle of the bristles. The brush can be controlled perfectly with the digitizer tablet. There is more fine-tuning with further selections. The selection bars moved around. the same dialog can used to remove color remains of the old background. Even hair or shrubs can be adjusted easily.

Although little has changed with respect to the pure contrast correction. the module was still corrected for the high-quality camera RAW-files and delivers somewhat better results. Besides. the RAW-module of the C55-version eliminates image noise much better than the predecessor.

Photoshop C55 Extended offers no essential functions for photographers; the version is meant mainly for advanced users and 3D-designers. Photoshop C55 Extended features elaborate support for creating and editing 3D objects and the 3D palette has been upgraded.
