We analyzed the new ATI HD 5450 which is intended to be the lowest-end card in the new 5000-series lineup. It was a low-end set that did leave a bit to be wanted because the reality that it didn’t provide anything drastically dissimilar from last-stage cards that are retailing for considerably less. Placing that card behind them, ATI is now issuing even some other series of products that are intended to complete their assault on the price level.

The HD 5500 series is to be the religious successor to the exceeding HD 4550 and covers two cards for the time being the HD 5550 and HD 5570. Some of these cards are based off of the Redwood Pro core and are directed directly at the NVIDIA GT 220 while changing the HD 4670 and HD 4650.

With the supposed capacity to permit games to run at or somewhat above 1680 x 1050, they seem to be absolutely placed to suit the requires of budget gamers. However, budget gamers aren’t the simply ones being directed by these cards as they are evenly well-equipped to tackle HD video and audio decrypting as well. It should be concerning to see how this product does when equated to different cards in its class. We also have some concerning tests lined up which will pit a pair of HD 5570s against the challenger when running in software Crossfire mode.
