Default Gigabyte GV Ge Force GTX 470

The family of NVIDIA series Fermi includes, at present, to occupy different solutions ranging, with solutions based on GeForce GTX 460, then. There are two architectures involved, with the name of GF100 denote the first GPU family Fasteners to be submitted on the market, with 512 stream processors and all the architectural innovations that NVIDIA has built into this new generation of GPUs. GF100 is used in the GPU GeForce GTX 480, GTX 470 and GTX 465, with quantities of active stream processors respectively equal to 480, 448 and 352.

GF104 is indicated by the sign of the second series GPU architecture-based Fermi used at present in the GeForce GTX 460 in this case we find a total of 384 stream processors, although the GTX 460 cards will be activated only 336, with some architectural simplifications than GF100 so that we can offer these solutions at a lower price segment.

Since market launch, which took place at the end of March 2010 Ge Force GTX 480 and GTX 470 have caught the attention of users more fans thanks to its high level of performance achieved. In parallel, however, drew unfavorable judgment from one side related to the considerable delay with which these cards were presented on the market, together with the operating somesthesias and power points much higher than the proposed competitor instituted AMD's ATI Radeon HD 5000.
