AMD continues to refine its Phenom processors with architecture II, and this spring has launched several new processors. Launched the 6-core Phenom Ii codename baptized as Thu ban expanding its high-end offering its first 6-core processors and during May gave a little more twist to its current low-end processors the Athlon II.

A twist means a slight increase in the speed range of these processors, nothing will change the current scenario but if it is accompanied by the discontinuation of older models for the same price and get a slightly faster processor or a little more money we have something more powerful CPU there is no reason not is happy.\

If you look at the lists published in the article of the AMD Athlon II X3 435 in Article II of the AMD Athlon X4 620 and check the price list current AMD recommended here we see that AMD, at least, has already discontinued the Athlon II X3 425 and Athlon X4 620 .In the family there disappearances Phenom II as the Phenom X3 II.

Presumably this slight increase in speed for the passage of time and processors come more refined and endure higher speeds without increasing the use and good share of manufacturing this too would understand the disappearance of the Phenom X3 II not were more than Phenom X4 with a broken kernel.

Finally, today we have received a representative of the new processors were analyzed, the AMD Athlon X4 640 the most powerful Athlon II on the market. And it seems that the stepping or revision is used instead of the C3 C2 Athlon II seen in previous X4, so little details have been polished, such as better energy efficiency to better support the transition to the C1E state.
