Mushkin well-known brand in the production of high-performance memory ram for Personal Computer introduced in the market a kit of 2x1GB DDR2 PC8500.

The memories that we present are of Mushkin XP2-8500 kit consists of 2 banks of 1GB each, is the operating frequency of 1066MHz with 5-5-4-12 latencies and a voltage of 2.2 to 2.35 V at default. These memories are equipped with Micron D9GMH chips, very important because this chip is much loved by overclocked for its ability to overclock.

At first glance appear very similar to many other memories equipped with sink, were it not for some small detail that distinguishes them from others, namely the shape of a heat sink that the top has some weird fins.

These fins, although small, they encourage, even slightly, the disposal of heat generated by the chip. For the rest is like most coolers on the market. The heat sink is able to always keep the memories at a temperature acceptability.

The tests below show the performance of memory according to various standard JEDEC. The following tests were carried out without altering the frequency of the CPU.

These tests were carried out with the aim of demonstrating the potential of these memories at different frequencies and JEDEC to highlight the performance increase due to the increase of frequency.

We continue testing these memories with overclocking tests, which show the highest frequencies within the pleadings under specified conditions of voltage and timings.
