Physx with ATI Primary? Hello guys, I’m looking to upgrade my card very soon, and I'm thinking on whether or not to go with NVidia or ATI at present. I was very peculiar if phish based games get most of slowdown on the 6xxx cards, particularly I'm checking the 6970. Physx is not that great of a deal but it is bothering when games slow down as of it. I am presently running:
I7 930 stock speeds
6 GB ram
ATI 4870 1 GB
With this arrangement anything with physx has my device to its knees. I at times having 10-15 FPS if there is a greater of physx nonsense going on, Mirrors edge and Batman: AA have this issue of a lot.

The thing everything is corning to a waiting is that you're attempting to access hardware Physx looks without the hardware! Software attempting to run the normally hardware controls is shockingly slow in any scenario. Use just the lower. Phsyx will speed your game up a ton but you'll see low shattering glass or papers flying around.

Like d0gr0ck said, you're undertaking to access physx on your CPU. The software coding for physx on CPUs is so horrible that even the giant 980x wouldn't be able to deal it solution? Turn physx off till you have an NVidia GPU.

Yes, I got it that the hardware is not perfect for physx and invaliding it will solve the slowdown. I wasn't confirm if physx was 100% offloaded to the CPU if there was no simpatico hardware available, thus a greatly powerful card practically could make physx related games access better.
