In Control Panel, 'Computer Management', 'Disk Management', then in the less right-hand scroll bottom box, scroll to the F drive, right click on it and then open 'Change Drive Letter and Paths...then only left click on the drive letter in the upper box and 'OK' and close out of the Admin Tools, go to your Universal Serial Bus machine and it should just 'OPEN' normally

When linking an outer drive to a Windows 2000 Pro, XP, or Vista PC, sometimes the permits/privileges will require to be allotted. Since the ownership of the documents belong to a different user account, you might see "Access Denied" or "Not accessible" fault when testing to open the drive or a directory within the drive

Are you utilizing an account with Administrator permits? Assure the protection adjustment for that directory. In XP Home you would not have a protection tab, but you will even have an choice for creating a directory private. Right click on one of the drives in My PC and selecting "Properties". Sounds similar you have created that directory private and you are logged in below a different account. Is there a "Security" tab visible in the Properties window
