    Default Problem: directory is not writable (APACHE & PHP)

    Hello I have a problem not solve it Let's see if I have luck and somebody has been the same or know how to fix it Recently bought a virtual server for projects that I have with Plesk 9.5 4 and Ubuntu as OS I no longer think of anything more I tried to disable safe_mode Htaccess but not it was another test because the phpinfo already indicates that it is Not if I have to do something extra in the server configuration but I searched for info plesk nor anything unless it's explained well vhost conf

    Something happens in your environment, because if you say that safe_mode is off but phpinfo tells you otherwise, something happens.

    Thanks for the respueta jgutierrez, No, no, the phpinfo () I confirmed that safe_mode is off (both local to master), but the problem is not writable directory that persists, is forcing me to set the permissions to 777. So I do not understand or do not do more, I guess I'll open a support ticket (in case they happened to other clients who have taken a virtual server).

    Chown-R root apache.apache * from 775 web directories for you to let you write balls from an application (php java? cgi-perl cgi-c?) if the application running the apache group does not belong to you no going to stop writing, or create a group for those who can write and again with chown

    Well actually the problem is with the user and group that runs the apache service, in this case is www-data, I changed the group that appeared in the apache configuration which gives the Plesk and 775 permits already (changing the user, with 755 already works). At the time I tested with the root, and not work because I did not fall into what you said.
