Hello, no, the only difference among DVI-I and DVI-D is as follows to DVI-I with the help of a passive adapter, an analog VGA monitor to operate, for a single DVI-D connector is not, the analog Signals are only there to connect analog monitors.

But the point of the stone may not have robert yes, you wonder if you can not answer that no. the difference between the terminals is ne additional option, if you are not just the cable dvi to vga from adaptierst and back then not interested in the additional pins.

DVI-D is the digital transmission of the signal to the monitor, now there are few individual who yet have old VGA monitors, so analog only, this one only has DVI-I created so that you have all in one connector, there is located to the digital signal also an analog signal with this (these are the 4 additional pins, so you can connect to a DVI-I connector on the graphics card has a DVI-VGA adapter just too old analog monitors.
