Thread: Best over clocking motherboard for e6300 or maybe e8400?

Okay ill explain what im doing. I have been building my pc slowly as and when i get more money my pc current spec is as follows:E6300 2gb DDR28800 GTS300GB Hard DriveAsus standard motherboardBlu-Ray Reader/DVD/CD RW24" Acer ScreenSo it has potential to work out well but i really want to have a top notch gaming pc and for that my e6300 (not over clocked) cant handle this my motherboard atm cant really support overclocking so would it be worthwhile getting a new good motherboard and over clocking it to 3Ghz or buying a e8400/q6600/e6850 and a decent motherboard.ThanksA QX6850 is a little above what im willing to spend, looking to spend £350 max for a good cpu and motherboard or just stick with a good motherboard and overclock my little e6300

Get an Asus Striker Supreme Motherboard and an Intel Extreme quad core processor 3G QX6850.An Asus Standard motherboard would just hold your processor back!
