Question about overclocking video card?

I have a 3dfx Voodoo3 video card. its default memory clock is 143 MHz. i was wondering if i pushed it up to 150 or 160 MHz, would it burn out?How high could i let it go?

Wow that's old, what difference would 7 MHz make? No you wouldn't burn it out but for such a tiny improvement I wouldn't bother.

OK, IMHO you could go up to 160-170 but you need good cooling on the 16mb of sdram on the card.And after you do this you won't gain anything very noticeable.Here is a good review article on your card.http://www.sharkyextreme.com/hardware/3dfx_v3_2000/
