Thread: Overclocking AMD X 2 6000+?

Trying to overclock amd cpu with MSI Neo2 digital mobo, few bios tweaks, can only modify ram timings and speed, cpu voltage, ram voltage, cpu multiplier and speed. Stock speed now, idles at 30-31c with Scythe Ninja plus B, OCZ reaper 2 x 2 gigs reaper HPC, Nvidia 8600 GT. Any one that has a similar setup or a review they can refer me to would be greatly appreciated. Think its possible to get it to 3.4ghz??

Might be possible.The best advice with any O/C is to take things slow and steady. Overclock 5%, then run a stress test and check your temps. If things are OK, tune it up another 5%, and so on.As long as your temps are <50°C idle and <65°C load, you are pretty safe.
