Madbox pc friends of the results of the new OC ll x4 Phenom 940, which is, it seems quite promising especially in specialized web comments indicate that there will be no big price difference with the current Phenom 4 cores, as well The first market will be launched with the multiplier unlocked.

The good thing is that the show is AMD2 + socket.

That is to save as of very poor quality, if you edit it and find it credible, they used bmp. But I think 6 GHz is somewhat exaggerated, especially for a quad. But you get to 4 without any problems.

For me it is very believable especially because if you set the Vcore is quite high and say there is only achieved with LN2 but I want to see opera in the Intel super pi and some game.

In any case because of comments left and right for the moment continue to use the sock with the 940 chip 790, as well. If you have not seen (those were sold in some stores in Europe last month and I escaped) took a small number of Athlon 6500 Black Edition (unlocked multi) which is basically a 2 Phenom cores and according that the sale would be finalized even higher frequencies (7550 and 7750) and the expertise as tested:

Do not read much of the article in English which put, but I was so

Quote: "AMD recently demonstrated the overclocking abilities of the new CPU using both dry ice and liquid nitrogen cooling in Texas, with some stunning results."

So, they used dry ice and liquid nitrogen system for the dissipation. Something that obviously not all possess, and that this overclock I doubt that will help to provide 24 / 7.

Nordic Hardware claims also demonstrated that AMD Phenom II CPUs running at 4GHz 1.6v with just air cooling, at a voltage of 1.6v. PC Perspective estimates that the chips will be very scalable when it comes to clock speed, while still retaining a reasonable heat output. The site reckons that a 3.6GHz Phenom II, for example, could have a TDP of 125W.

Said that air dissipation, is 4 GHz daily use (I think).

If you think it is not so surprising, but it is a substantial improvement in terms of who had the overclock Phenom quad-core.

As it is not surprising? A processor 4 GHz with air cooling, which has over 700mil transistors? Reach these frequencies and with just air?

I myself find it frankly incredible and especially on the plate where the evidence mounted..........

High-high, compared to the Phenom 2 with core i7, II is for Phenom Socket AM2 + and comes to compete with core 2 the 9 *** series with no core i7, with socket AM3 processors will be core competence of I7.
