    Default Problem with overclock

    Hello!

Does little to renew my pro for an E6750 and I took a e8400 oc, it is advisable for this process is a 3.6 GHz oc but can reach up to 4 GHz, but the drama is that passing the 3.4 GHz speed I holds more than 3 minutes or orthos the Agency, under the speed that's going smoothly, I gave a bit of the cpu voltage up to 1.3 volts but no change in anything, lower latencies of the memories 5 and 5 5 18 probe and nothing ... The cpu but since the bios will make the 1.3 volt I continues around 1.25to 3.6 GHz but is not know if I'll have something misconfigured or wave.

My PC is: Motherboard Asus P5K SE, 2 reports CM2X1024-6400C4 Corsair XMS2, Cpu E8400, EVGA 8800 GTS, and a source Corsair HX620W cooler, I do not remember the model.

    Hello.

I think the Corsair XMS2 works at 2.10V in the standard, controls the label.

    Hello

If it is 2.1, but I did not put the voltage starts, so I left it on automatic...

    Hi

Low frequency of memos ... and at 5-5-5-18 latencies.

I latencies well and I do not funk, and frequencies are not as separate from the fsb of the process, but running at 800 MHz, and are 378x2 ... Even thus lowering treatment? What separated them?

Latencies got a 5 5 5 18 and climbed to 3.6 and the process was extremely unstable, got a 3.5 and the same also goes much slower than a 4 4 4 12 3.4 GHz, the frequency is not as separate them from the fsb.

We now see more clearly estimated.

You have memories of what for 800MHz Intel are 200x2 = 400x2 = 800MHz memory in Hyper Threading (or 4 cycles in total)

If you have the FSB to 378 is equal to = 378x2 = 756x2 = 1512 final as CPU-Z indicates the problem is that their memories are not endure because at 356MHz. (or best Corsair endures as an OC).

If for example you want to run the FSB to 1066 final, in which case you would set the FSB Frequency to 266 that would: 266x2 = 532x2 = 1064 end if the memories it holds.

    Your CPU works with a standard multiplier is 9: 333x9 = 2997 Intel climbs 3.0 (the 333 is 166.5x2)

If you want to run the CPU at 3600 put the FSB Frequency to 200 x 2 = 400 which gives: 400x9 = 3600 (the working memories 400x2 = 800, impeccable fall in the maximum frequency of the Corsair, but as this is a that holds more memory, you can try to climb up a 20% + by adding a voltage hair and I think you can get the 3800), also perhaps a hair to the CPU as well, let's see.

Frequency to FSB 213x2 = 426x9 (CPU divider) = 3834 a hair of the CPU voltage to stabilize only if they arise.

I understand, but I have turned the whole bios and can not find where I can move the frequency of the reports, just move the fsb of the processor and the automatic moving of memos. Not as skewed to leave him alone CPU.

I wandered around reading and read that when the board has Intel chipset can not be frequencies of CPU and memory.

You go to "Advance Menu" and Jumper Free Configuration, go to Al Overclock, select Manual and get the figure you're interested.

CPU Ratio Control, manual and enter the specific ratio by selecting the arrow keys <+> <->.

FSB Frequency, manual selection, put the figure at which you want to run your reports.

PCI Express Frequency, manual selection of a fixed stop 100

Sub Menu FSB / CPU External Frequency Synchronizations, choose the frequency of 200, 266, 33, 400

    Dram Frequency, DDR2-800 manual

DRAM Timing Control Manual and once in the sub-menu, all to manual with the numbers appear.

The Asus BIOS has an option that lets you choose the frequency you want. I would 800MHz is what is specified.
If you do not give you that option then choose the nearest one. (Not overclock reports that model and Corsair are not very good at that!)

Voltage CPU 3.6 GHz you need to 1.3V approx. start from there. You have sufficient cooling? Using the fan to cool?
    1. Memories: timings uses specified by the manufacturer. Or 5-5-5-12 2T at 2.1v if I these reports. Do not use 4-4-4-12 and not.
    2. Leave everything on Auto for now; just put the FSB at 400 for an overclock of 3.6 GHz.
    3. Update your BIOS to the newest version in the Asus website.
    4. Check the temperatures. And recalls voltages, 1.3V and 2.1v cpu rams. If you are not very stable upload the CPU Rev. Use Prime95 to test stability.
    5. Reconnect account and how you did.

    Update the Bios.
Memories left by car, alone and put in 5 5 5 18 2t and walks like me, the truth is that there are no dramas apparently with latencies of the memos, a 4 4 4 12 c to work well, if I leave manual that gives me the options are 800, 1066 and 1333, no me intermediate, and move the fsb of the cpu automatically switching frequencies of the memos, for example, had the procedure with 377 fsb, and memos alone put in 754 if the relationship 1 / 1. We got a little Vcore to 1.35 and my cpu z between 1.28 and 1.31 mark, (not that cpu-z I always mark the less voltage you get in the bios) and stabilized a bit, at least spent the two minutes and in the media and reached ACTC to 18 minutes and something XD, you go up a hair more voltage? On page Intel says the ranges are from 1.3625V to 0.85V for the e8400, so I did not even move, but not if it is indicated ...

For what I read here it seems that if my memos also work with latencies 4 4 4 12 to 800MHz.

754:2 = 377 divided by what is normal, but if you make manual changes are not respected in this case Chinese are right to recommend updating the BIOS, restart the PC and the first support post immediately "break" so you can read the current BIOS version and compares it with the last of the manufacturer.
