    Default OC recent doubts

Hello everybody I am new to the forum and after many visits to the sites in this topic I decided to sign up. I hope I do not violate any rule and if they did ask a thousand apologies. My doubt is that as a Newbie in the OC was investigating this as a madman in order to accomplish something. As further investigations, but my fears were growing for the contradictions and imprecision’s surrounding the subject in many places. Taking the subject with respect and seeing something that seemed ultra complex takes courage and I decided to do so. I have a micro 3.00 GHz Pentium D 925, an Asus P5GC-MX mobo. 2.56Gb RAM (For the moment, but no video board with a view to a 9600gt) for merely to test thinking that I made a serious Oc complex to enter the Bios but I only had to enter Jumper Free Configuration and change the FSB auto to manual and go up from 200 to 250. At the option of changing the memory to auto to manual 375-500 appeared three options and one that I do not remember. I put the option of 500 but when you restart and see the CPU-z still reports that I see with the same frequency and latency that before Oc. My doubt is that it was too easy compared to everything I had read previously, which leads me to believe that bypass some steps or leave without any configuration change. The memories are so good or you can upload more? Like until you buy the video card is not going to notice either the OC was only to test, but also to rise the FSB a good cooling or I'm thinking of a system RL. I await your wise answers. I leave two caps where you can see the FSB and the latencies of the memories.

Options 3 and memory should be auto, is the first 400, second 533 and third 667, this mother like mine you estimated how much are the bad memories with the oc, but can be done by hand, going from 200 to 250 is a 25% oc, and add a 25 to 667% give you a 833mhz, your memories can hardly stand it. Choose the second option (533MHz) will remain at 667 MHz, and would have no problems, they would like from the factory. Then if you want you can try to manually download their latencies.

Orthos stability to the program, which notifies you if you are unstable, leaves an hour or more if you can.

DDR memory (2), so the actual speeds MHz are 333,333 ... 666,666 ... but working MHz.

what you imagine me to write with the stick, and with the AG or I say. Thanks for responding GoldenX and have the same good mother ask you things like this. Okay so I did that decisive Oc is not wrong, or did well, I will test the stability, however as I said without a good cooling system does not play more. But you know it can jump up to the frequency of this micro mother charged with both? What is the limit? If you add another module of 2 GB ram Oc hold an edge? The chip is in Idle strip temperature 40/45 ° with the Oc did not rise much, it starts at 55/58 and a low 45 degrees and remains so, you got to respect it? Again thank you for answering.

Get the dress, so write more relaxed XD. The procedure is not much you can take without having problems of voltage (which this mother does not), but what is certain is that a Pentium D is very hot, much younger than my Pentium dual core (yours consumption has a 130w TDP of 65W and the other). Would also see how much these little mother handle the entire load placed by the Pentium d, consumes the same as a quad now. Adding another module to activate the dual channel memory, improving the performance a little for the memories (doubling bandwidth).

I recommend you (if you will) sell this process and purchase something like a Pentium dual core e5200 (or a dual core Pentium e2xxx) which consumes much less, almost no temperature rose despite working much less often and perform better than factory the Pentium d. I previously had a 805 which is the same as yours to 2.66GHz and I go to this improved performance by 25% and I take off for several problems of over consumption and temp.

These process sold as Dual Core, the buy two machines in the technical specifications you put Pentium Dual Core 925 ... But I do not think Dual Core is a reality. No, I'm new in this, two years ago to buy the machines and everything that I did learn on the fly, but I do not know much as I love and try to absorb all knowledge as possible. The subjects of the memos are in Dual Channel but a module 512 is a shit, so I replace it soon. As the processor is a very sensible idea to me, I will study in depth to see how I do, say that if that improves performance, consumption and temperature, do not hesitate a moment, so thank you predispositions much you and your good mood. Thanks!

It tries to sell as the dual cores, but the Pentium D are actually 2 Pentium 4 in the same socket (hence the excessive consumption, temperature and frequency), while the Pentium dual core is a core 2 duo with less cache, except for some differences on Pentium dual core e5200 is better than a Core 2 Duo E4000, the frequency at which it operates and be 45nm instead of 65, it improved even more temperatures and addition a process that is very cheap. When you buy mine did not come out yet. In all, we have in mind that if you want a 9600gt, it produces 925 a bit of bottleneck, and the e5200 may also not produce that much but if you can go for something more like an e7200, the better.
