    Default Which is Overclocking?

I am learn new practices on my pc (because the computer that I bought 3) and I would like to improve with the help and advice that most experts I can provide.
For my part is not that computers can bring great knowledge because my level is a user, but in my field who are the decorative arts and everything about art and antiques, you can count on my opinion if anyone has any doubt on something associated with it. And well after my presentation I would like to be clarified is the Overclocking and to serve and how to use, as well as ways to get that from my pc and punctuation to achieve greater fluency and speed in developing the operation of the same.

    Greetings and thanks in advance!

Digital systems operate with a very similar architecture including:

    a processor
    a memory
    a data bus
    input devices
    output devices

in this case we relate the first 3

Processor, memory and data bus that connects them with certain operating speed, these are measured in cycles and as often performed in a second, this is a cycle per second: one Hertz, or 1 Hz

Processors currently running their operations at about 2 to 3 billion cycles per second, or 2 to 3 GHz This gives a speed system clock or computer clock, overclock would then exceed the original clock, so say a 2.4 GHz processor can be overclocked to 3 or 3.2 GHz or more, and thus increase performance the same with the data bus that connects this with the reports and the reports themselves, though at lower speed.

The negative point is that the heat dissipation and power ups that generate so much instability in the system.

I feel that my question will ask you a rude golden but not been my intention, I wonder what you know that your insurance may also have doubts and questions on other topics unaware that I will not describe as rude ... anyway, thanks for your explanation ... if what you say about that site, I have to get to handle overclocking?
By what I see then if it is worth doing, of course go without overheating the system, right? That I have seen these figures and at 2.40 MHz and p ** 3 or mention of what is the speed of the processor is q have noticed something, no?
    Thanks for your time.

I apologize if I was hard; it was not my intention to offend.
It's worth doing, obviously using the word or browsing the internet really is not much benefit, but for example in games is very helpful because we can save money on processors that are identical to the one we have except for the frequency at which they operate, or more expensive video cards.
It can be overclocked processor, the chipset of the motherboard, the ports of mother, memoirs, and even video cards (the graphics processor, gpu, and their reports).
The most common and useful for the pc is overclocked from the bios mother, where all the options for system configuration are. The temperature is usually a problem only in advanced overclocks, which greatly increased the frequency, usually with common ventilation systems can be some improvement.
