    Default Support CPU clock

Hello friends, I have a doubt and I need your opinion and advice. In my bios setup option Hardware monitor. Within this option and the following information
    8.0 x CPU RATIO SELECTION
    CPU FSB CLOCK (MHZ) 100
    SPECTRUM SPRED + - 0.38%
CPU FSB CLOCK option I have no clear reference to what your function or if its value can change something to improve the performance of my pc. Now thank you very much.

    Info from my pc:
    Name of MSI motherboard MS-6534
    Type Intel Pentium 4 processor, 1500 MHz (15 x 100)

CPU ratio should be 15, is the multiplier. CPU FSB clock frequency is the actual processor, multiplied with the multi we obtain the final speed of the processor, in your case, as put, 15x100 = 1500mhz. That fsb cpu speed, that's overclock, but just in case, it is not so simple, would also be forcing the mother, the memories, and ports.

Changing this value could vary some frequencies (not just the CPU) but not the actual frequency of the processor. But communicating this to the north bridge (chip "greater") this often has bandwidth and speed. If you change the FSB speed to be rising and this chipset can create greater speed interconnection between chipsets CPU memory disk USB etc.

Today the fsb goes... disappearing and replaced by buses into the CPU.

First of all thanks for your help, we commented that the memories I have are two 512 mb 133 MHz that means I can take the fsb to 133 to make the most of my memories? I hope your answer. CPU ratio leads to a 15 and go wonderfully. Now you have to adjust FSB a little lower ratio no? I say that according to Rule 15 x 133 = 1995 or is it a matter of taste! I need your advice.

The ratio always leaves 15. The reports increase linearly with the cpu, if you get the fsb to 133mhz, the reports (by Rule 3) are at 177mhz, the solution is to go down to 100MHz if possible, or seek to raise its latencies.
