    Default Help with OC

    Hello all

The OC recently renewed my platform and am trying a bit but I have no idea how to get the best result, so you turn to peers to help me in this mission. I will let you know my team is as follows.
    MB: ASUS Striker Extreme II
    CPU: Intel Q9450 2.66 MHz 12MB cache
    GPU: XFX 9800Gx2 xxx 1g GDDR3 680
    POWER: 850W LC-POWER

If anyone can help me thank you very much!

Greetings and thank you very much now!

If you did not already, you need to read a guide before. You got everything you need for a record setear in for vga is easy, with the NVIDIA or rivatunner overclock can be done, it derives a little more used because it also raise the shader clock (des-pair of gpu). To test the stability using 3DMark06, and always look at the temperature of the 2 gpu, I do not think you can get because it brings a lot of factory oc.

For the cpu you get everything from the mother, up the FSB a little, looking at the temperature of the cpu, because 4 cores is very hot, if you have windows blue is almost always by memories, a little speed. If after reaching the top of CPU would like to upload more, you need to start raising voltages, either a little, because the temperatures go up a lot with this. At this level of hardware only for the oc find podiums in hwbot.org because improved performance is rarely justified.

    Thanks for answering so fast.

I do not want any record is the only q I want to play games with good fps is not happening but in benchmark06 not ever going to 1280x1024 and 60fps at 1024x768 on bm03 is not the same 60 fps now raised the fsb to 400 to 8x. Voltage do not touch the memories are in 1600 and turned the pc and it works but not with the wave fps. Have some limitations in some place?

    Many thanks

    Hello

We have to reach 4.4 with the mother, so to play with voltages and see where to serve those already.

Hi, first of all congratulate you m good, Aquinas, second you buy this processor here in Chile? Thank you!

Now is overclocked quite easy, since it is 45nm and requires little extra voltage and very cold walks.

You can upload the voltage a bit, about 04 volts to start ... Internet searches for stable voltage at that speed.

You have to test the stability with a program like Orthos or Prime95, Let this last run at least 8 hours without goes off to claim victory ... the test is called "small FTT stress test.

    Hi

For mother, CPU and memory is no problem, the problem is the temperature, and time to invest.
