    Default Q6600 Overclock

Raised the FSB to 345 (was with 333) ... restart suddenly it lit up like that ... and off, and move like 3 times, until I switched off with the back button because I was afraid of but then ......... as it gave me to try again, but then thought again wanted to try again.

Obviously I did all this after reading the guides regarding overclock multiplier process, the shortcomings of the oc... Advantages, disadvantages, risks, things to take into account, and so on.

After that, I encountered some doubts:

Why did that happen it lit up and the pc off? After shutting down with the back button, it lit on and off, then turned and saw the normal FSB at 345 and in fact, but I got off and began.

The computer I have, I have, or rather has to last me until between the U (its 2 years more or less) or more. When you overclock, would be shortening the life of the processor (about the length, I took me a p3 as 6-7 years). Also depends on the OC, so I wanted to do this same question.

The reports of my pc is 1066 MHz, but to see in the bios, I think overclock come, when I raise the FSB would not exceed or something? (As it climbs hand in hand with the MHz of reports).

Thanks in advance for any replies!

That is normal in some motherboards. Are shut down and restart. The important thing is that when you start the second time, not back off and not when you drop the system forces the CPU. Besides not uploaded the FSB as much to spend for something serious. Good luck.

The already had a quad but I prefer AMD quad... if you restart is clear that this unstable council... always leaves a little and check if the increased frequency of memos if insurance is integrated as it is.

The CPU shows the actual frequency of reports to their respective latencies Use good with that and before you write oc values for comparison later.

The other is the voltage after an upload but oc higher.

    Hi

I see that the bottleneck does the power source, you must also take into account either the memory frequency and latency of the same.
