Hello friends.
First of all I apologize if this topic has already been touched, and ask if there is a link I do know ... I do not find. Mother I have a XFX Chipset Via KT400 ALH BIOS Phoenix-Award BIOS v6.00PG 02/24/2003-KT400-8235-6A6LYP89C-00 KT40ALHI.B15 FOR KT400-ALH, Micro Athlon xp2000 + Thoroughbred-B, cooler Titan 5 memories DDR400 MHz x 1Gb.
I understand this model gives a lot of micro, so I do not want to waste it. The single mother from the bios to change the FSB and RAM frequency. I can not change the CPU voltage and problem in gaining stability. I tell them, for those not familiar with this mother who has 3 jumper positions to allow the FSB in the first line but I did not make me a terrible under clocking (I think it says so) is one which is micro-defect that is 133, and another that leads to a 166 fsb. If I put the jumper in the latter, I take an Athlon XP 2600 + at 2075 MHz, but with voltage of 1.6 volts, and memos automatically at 333. This is not a problem, the machine works quite well, but it sometimes crashes, and is not subject to temperature, because the cabinet is well ventilated 8024 and I put my cpu idle low as 10 degrees. On the Windows desktop or with simple applications nothing happens, but after playing around Carbon or Most Wanted, it may crash. Probe also raise the fsb bios, placing the jumper on 133 and I say again, from the management changes range from there up to 165. It is less stable than making it work in 2600 +.
What do you recommend? There a way to raise the voltage of the processor?
Thank you very much!
