    Default Overclocking a Pentium D 805

Well guys I wanted to ask for help to enter the world of c (since I've never done), my idea is to do a moderate overclock (I think it is) because I like to keep my processor from 2.6 to 3.0 or 3.2 to maintain cooler Stock, I have read many guides and I still do not understand.

    My team is as follows
    Pentium D 805 2.6
    1gb of Ram pc2 5300
    Motherboard p4m890-m7 SE
There is one passed by cpuz

    Thanks All The Answers

    Hi

I have no link at hand, but this is the best CPU to oc, the problem is its temperature, with good ventilation should run 3.00 without any problems even more.

Well guys I will put the data that I think that influenced my first overclock so please I need all the help possible, so that changes that have to do in the bios to reach speeds above according to the BIOS can change these data, the titles are the parts that I got into the bios and I have not changed anything

Moreover, these data were made after cleaner

    PERFORMANCE BOOSTER ZONE

Cpu clock is in [133mhz] and can be changed up to 265
    Spread spectrum = [+ / -0.25] options are also disabled, -0.5, -1.0, + / -0.5
    ddr voltage = [startup] +0.10 v, +0.20 v to 0.70v ..
    cpu voltage = [0.012v] + 025 v, 0037 v, 0050 v, 0075 v, 0087 v

    DRAM Clock / Drive Control

Current FSB Frequency = [100MHz] and can not be changed
Current Dram Frequency = [266mhz] can not be changed
dram clock = [by SPD] can be changed to 200MHz, 266MHz, 333MHz
Dram timing = [By SPD] can be switched to manual
    latency [ddr/ddr2] = [2.5 / 4] and can be changed at 2.5 / 4 1.5 / 2, 2 / 3, 3 / 5
Bank interleave = [disabled] can be changed to 2bank 4bank and 8bank

    Shut down temperature [85 º C/185 º F]
    X cpu fan load (sharp = 0) 5
    x CPU fan start (° C) 38
    x CPU fan full speed (º C) 80
    1.26V core cpu
    +3.3 V = 3.26v
    +5.0 V = 5.10v
    +12 V = 11.96v
    dram voltage = 1.92v
    battery voltage 3.28v
    current cpu temp 34 ° c
    current CPU fan speed 2812rpm
    current sys 0rpm fan speed

So thank you very much and to respond.

Friend do not be afraid to climb a 134 CPU that was made to work 133 (533 fsb) factory, and we have (working) to over 200.

In 3000 a little heated beyond 50 ° if it is not cooled well, I had it stable at that level down to 266MHz and the memory latencies in putting 2,5-3-3-7, with its fan factory, a removing rear air, and one just above the cpu coupled with the wind tunnel of the cabinet.

Could take over if my source left me, but well, I hope you have more luck, the CPU gives a lot more.

I see that you're the only one who answered ... And thanks for that friend but I would like to ask where can I change specifically latencies because the default is 4-4-4-12 and not know where to download 266mhz (I think I can put it in DRAM Clock at 266mhz), but not specifically where they put the latencies in the BIOS (now if you could tell me where to put them would be great), now I want to buy another memory ram, to explore a little with regard to dual channel, I am thinking of buying a 512.Not if you realize that before getting the fsb to 134 the process runs to 2000mhz to 2668mhz is now returned to raise the fsb to 138 and giving me 2768mhz, I ran the prime95 all night and did not issue an error or the maximum temperature reached was 54 º C, just doing normal things now ranges from 30 º C and 38 º C is playing almost the same as was previously the only variation in 2 ° C.

Thank you very much for your help!

The oc is going very well, these temperatures for the heater 805 are excellent, given that its peak temperature is 62 º (83 º to take you but a little "accident", do not do).

I can not help you much with the theme of the mother, the manufacturer's manual for the bios and look for where the mother is (or is normally a place dedicated to oc or chipset settings or something).

Well along with my first overclocks I uploaded the fsb to 140 k for the process is down to 2.8 and the memory runs at 266MHz and running the prime95 or is issued or an error and the maximum temperature is 54 º c but rises to run orthos 60 º C shall be what I'm doing?

We also got a front fan pulling air to the processor, also is an air and pulling back into a port also getting air.

What worries me are the temperatures are not high as not much me and not go to burn the ram.

The other thing that concerns me is not if you change the voltage of the ports and there is a place where I can change 100 to 150.

I hope more people respond and help

Thank you very much in advance.

There is something to my attention, this consumes CPU (so remember) 1.375v about this with some under voltage.

Do not worry so much as a test for these, the cpu heat more than they would normally, I give you a little secret, let and open the everest stability test, the page where it says the average (without running the test) and get to play some games, after playing, you can see the temp. The real can get your CPU to test with my usual I was over 70 degrees, but never in actual use over 58 (also recall that the guarantee covers only up to 62-63 degrees).

What the core voltage I have not moved anything, always be 1.28 now in 1.264vy 1.28v is between those two, you think you should raise the voltage to what you say you? 1.375v is that I am working with the source that comes from stock?

The overclock I've done me very happy it works super well the pc is stable is much faster than when it recently bought. But what concerns me now is the temperature and voltage.

Thank you very much for all your help!

The test is in Tools, System Stability Test.

You could say that you have a source to see how you will, but as with the factory fan is not recommended voltage rise in the box says 1.55v cpu Max. But the temp will go to hell.

Not that it was not an option so I had to download another version.

I did the test had no problems, no oil stain, not crashed or anything like that were the 50th and 37th, now that scared me was that the mother's temperature was 127 º C too, but will be real bad or the sensor. Is grateful for the responses.

Raise the Vcore is what shortens the lives of more cpu, but it low to turn off the pc the most for lack of voltage, but not burning.

The best thing is to always be the same ram, latencies to leave the speed limit.

I think something strange that nobody wants to help.

I know why no one else helps

I think it could easily lead to 3.2, but since RAM is 333MHz and 300MHz in the temperatures are not spectaculars when overclock without being so low I will also run orthos for 12 hrs and had no error or even a drop was completely stable and the maximum temperature reached was 51 º C and is normally 29 º C to 33 º C and playing reaches 38 º C to 42 º C k so happy for my first oc.

    Hello

Is that I wanted to see someone able to get juice to 805, mine never exceeding 3GHz by memories, and because my source is very cheap.

Glad to see someone who was with the former king of the oc.

How I put another beneficiary 1GHz of ram 333MHz with the same latencies?

What specifically is what makes the dual channel? An increase of ram I do mean a higher overclock?

    Thanks
