    Default Overclock Dell laptop

    Hello

I found this forum overclokers very good and I was wondering if overclocked a DELL XPS M1710 laptop.

Dell is a plate 4 GB ram Kingston processor is Core Duo 2.16 GHZ overclocked but I am also interested in programs that use, and as we first consult with the experts you, as a note in the bios will not let me change anything I think this bloke values only lets you adjust some normal ELOC if the USB 1.1 or 2.0 but no processor.

In principle every processor can be overclocked, if you get the voltage and the forces to go faster but there are limitations, one is the same voltage, it has more consumer laptops are usually optimized to reduce consumption and not to increase it, for greater durability of battery another is the possibility that gives you the motherboard to force the processor to go faster (either by increasing the multiplier or increasing the fsb), and almost swear that no notebook BIOS allows it.

Another constraint that is very important, where the voltage to get more of these components are hot, and the notebook are calculated to operate with almost righteous that generate heat, thus increasing the voltage to either memory or cpu, you can do great damage caused in the rest of the pieces of the computer, so I do not think anything good idea for him to oc your laptop.

I doubt if I change my laptop for a core 2 duo buy the truth this week came when the core 2 duo and is not that difference is now toy with 4 GB 333 MHz amiss (they are 2 gb for ram) and 512 mb NVIDIA decide not the difference, according to me only because the core 2 duo and now support x64, but did not give me that advice which was to change over to my laptop hard drive and it is not advice you.

    Thanks
