Thread: Overclocking a Socket-A AMD Athlon or Duron

Hi, I'm new here but I have to overclock the Duron, Athlon. of the old school, but the AM2 are new to me, and I am ignorant ENB item ..

Now the question that if can have a decent oc with this board that has NVIDIA 6100 chipset, integrated memos 512 mb DDR2 Kingston .. Because the bios is not very clear about the options, and less manual.

Hi, until now I worked on the oc my pc Sempron 2800 + AM2 (of 1.6gh and 128kb) -> stock cooler ecsc51gm-m (M-C51GM Award BIOS 2.) ---> 6100 with integrated video DDR2 512mbx1 to-data 533Mhs (4-4-4-11 15) experimenting with toy oc ht link not as such caught "k8 <-> ht" and went down in cpu-z dropped the ht link.

CPU temperature stays low 36, if 40 to 46 extra efforts, but with the ORTHOS in 5 minutes and reached 54 degrees (yellow alarm), comes to playing the same. After that lower the HTT to 250 (not upload more than 250)

It was shared integrated vga 32mb and now it shared 64 and temperature of 100 extra effort dismantle between 2 and 4 degrees, not whether it is a coincidence or is it seems my ... having reached 260 fsb and everything seems ok, and with more than 260 and not to win, and test temperature. But in the latter case is at risk of memory? I run some risk that I was not there and found that if you find an expert?
