Asus Radeon 9600XT overclock

Hello

In my pc, which includes among other things, of a PIV 3 GHz HT FSB or 800 to 1 Mega, an Asus Radeon 9600XT 128 and 2X512 M DDR400 DDR 400 PC3200 Kingston RAM did it Tuesday night with a benchmark 3dmark03 and great was my disappointment when scored 1903 points spicy.

Vga drivers for ATI are typical, or rather because they were installed last night and got the card and ran the 3dmark03 again. I noticed a big change during the test. When a result of 4085 points. I do not know if such a difference is explained only by drivers but it is noticeable how much the change.

Last night also started playing with riva tuner. It increased the clocks 500 and 300 to 527 and 324 (to the eye and testing after each upload) and run 3dmark again, the score rose to 4348 points.

Now, the page said they at the bottom of my records that the test was done using drivers that are not approved by them. to me that I'm not interested in the background (I am not interested in competing or approval) but that grace is and why these drivers are not approved?, danger will my card?

last and how that view of the values that I left for clocky memories of my video card?, I tried Doom 3 and then go much better as soon as the tide is not in complex scenes and FPS are stable.

Thanks and greetings

I think this card is a little more, I let the former Celestials 9600xt at 550/729 and get 4709 pts on 3dmark 2003 with an Amd xp-m 2500 + @ 3200 +, give more and change the cooler.

I think that you already got me satisfied because I have improved the games performance with lamp. Maybe raise a couple more would be shortening the life of my card. How well is now the temperatures are ok and play without problems ... Buy another? Which I have three months and so far it is not necessary.

Thanks for the opinions

I think they were improperly installed the original drivers or the card bad because it can not give you so little difference whether the Omega are not over 500puntos (I think less), and these latest drivers will fix the problem.

I use the ati. I can not use the omega (x being AIW)

Hello again friends.

Took up this old post where you helped me ocear my asus Radeon 9600XT.

Turned out the OC as far as I said before I left and the card Overclocked secular and running smoothly, but recently, about four or five months ago, I had to reinstall everything starting with a format C: because I died on XP .

I was sure that she had spent with my OC on the card, if it was train and OC, the card continued to OC or original frequency again?

See how the apprentice is a doubt but a question at last.

Thanks for your attention.
