    Default Athlon XP 2000+ fsb

    Hello everyone,

I have an Athlon XP +2000 (1.660 MHz), raising the FSB (149 MHz) to reach 1889 MHz, but my memory is short (1 Corsair 256 MB PC3200 (200 MHz) and a generous 256Mb PC3200 (200 MHz). In this process it can reach with a 400 MHz ..??.. Memories as I can raise the voltage to the memory if the board has no such option in the bios... (Asus A7V8X)? ... To what is the most that can get an Athlon XP 2000.....?

There is no definitive answer to these questions. The OC is to try. Always maintained that if the temperature controlled.

I do not think you can arrive at an FSB of 200MHz, but who knows!

I have the A7V8X Deluxe and bring change voltage memos...

There is an adapter that serves to raise the voltage to the memos by when you can not change, for here I've seen in OC...

    Greetings

If you get these reports by running 200mhz is, you still need to reach your plate if it is difficult to raise Vcore to overclock get done, unless you look for a bios that allows the modification nothing to say.... is an Athlon xp, it is not necessary to raise the vDIMM because you have 200mhz memory, you could upload it if you need tighter latencies, as well not even go overclockers memories, if indeed come down a undercloking, I guess you know ..... Friend locate a bios that allows the modification of Vcore, if that change is difficult to achieve any good overclock, we also can put the power you have and how cool the processor, the important point Athlon xp.

Know its coming soon is quite complicated by the stepping may be able to know an estimate but not exact.

About memos, they are not the ones that you are limited in that works are not even coming to the frequency, so no need to raise vDIMM.

Search the bios option to stop working with the 1:1 processing memos, so both work at the same frequency and should have no trouble.

    Try it and tell us.

Two memos PC3200 @ PC2700 vDIMM with 2.8? These memos or default DDR400 give more voltage to stick with these latencies (7-3-3-2.5) can be tightened even more @ 166, but see 2.8 vDIMM

Does not depend on the board, I think any board that is change fsb, in the case of the man here, no need to move the vDIMM or latencies, maybe tight, but that means either an increase in vDIMM, processor fsb is 133, not 200 as htt Sempron 64, Athlon, or `s.
this process, as stated maximums depends on the stepping to know its potential, I was in a an7 you can get 2300 MHz real as a Vcore of 1.8, and then I will not get more hands that the average high temperature, came almost a full 56 º.
