Thread: Gigabyte motherboard wont overclock

I'm having problem overclocking my q6600 gigabyte motherboard. Im using this motherboard g41m-es2l MB with a Sunbeam CR-CCTF92-4 92mm Core-Contact Freezer CPU Cooler. As well as my operating System is windows 7 RC.

Whenever I do the smallest overclock in the BIOS, even just 2.5, the computer won’t start. I am able to get to 2.8 easy using easy tune so I believe my system is capable to handle the overclock. But I am my motherboard is not able to overclock. Any help would be much respected.

I believe that Motherboard is not for Overclocking.

What settings are you altering?
Set your memory ratio to "unlinked"

What is the speed of your RAM? What settings are you using?

Possibly you must be running your RAM too quick; you have to set your CPU/fsb ratio to where the RAM is not functioning much over its rated speed.
